Bienvenue, vous êtes attendus...(You are always welcome)Paris is a really wonderful city, it is not only the capital of fashion, romanticism but also the capital of French cuisine, known with its fine taste all over the world. We will warn you in advance that portions in almost all restaurants, bars and bistro are small. But as French say “you have to it half-starving”. With such a variety of delicious food you simply can not be fed up. Without any doubt there are many cozy cafes and restaurants in Paris, but still, we’d like to pay your attention on several places you MUST see, taste and feel.
Le Tabac de la Sorbonne (7, Place de la Sorbonne, 75005 Paris, France (Panthéon)
In the very center of Latin Quarter you may find this oasis in a chaotic Paris life. It is one of the first positions in trip advisor and well deserved. A beautiful Paris style, the best traditions of French cuisine, good service. This place will not leave you indifferent. You may sit inside the restaurant as well as outdoors. Cozy tones of décor, pictures on the walls dip you into pleasant atmosphere of Paris romanticism. Attentive and gallant staff will advise you unforgettable courses. Even ordinary omelet will surprise you let alone foie gras. Here you will try wonderful French chees: roquefort, parmesan, brie and also unforgettable desserts – panna cotta, tiramisu, apple pie tart tartin. There is a good choice of wine in the restaurant, the waiter will advise you the wine and cheese for it. As French can not imagine wine without cheese. Aromatic coffee will also surprise all the lovers of coffee because coffee in Paris is THE coffee and in this restaurant it is even more than excellent. And here you are in this wonderful place, watching crowds of tourists, students – Paris variety and you are about to feel taste of Paris life.
Le Clos des Gouments (16 avenue Rapp 75007 PARIS)
Not far from Tour Eiffel and Champs de Mars on the avenue Rapp there is a tiny restaurant with a limited number of tables but literally unique cuisine. If you want to taste the wonders of French cuisine, you should come here. You will want to take pictures of every course because it is a masterpiece without any exaggeration. In the very entrance the waiter will help you to take off your clothes and feel comfortable at one of the tables. Here all caprices are accepted as natural. I was surprised that here you won’t find many tourists, the majority of visitors are French. It proves that here everything is French. The menu is rather various: foie gras, risotto with squid, parmesan and carpaccio. The desserts are represented as pour plaisir (for pleasure) and here everything needs your attention. Concerning carte de vin we would recommend you to ask a sommelier for advice, as it is difficult to choose from such a variety. Especially I would recommend you local Champaign - Champagne Bollinger spéciale cuvee. This restaurant will leave unforgettable impression about Paris. But I should warn you that the prices here are quite high. To my mind it is worth!
